Alicante Bouschet is a grape variety with a high color content, and is well known as one of the 'dyeing' grape varieties.

Despite its high yield per plant, it only shows its full potential when managed diligently with regard to yield.

When conducted in this way, it produces dense and very dark wines, with a great capacity (and one might say, need) for aging.
